We respect and value the privacy of everyone who visits this website, zeussleep.co.uk (“Our Site”) and will only collect and use personal data in ways that are described here, and in a manner that is consistent with Our obligations and your rights under the law.

4.1.4 The right to be forgotten – i.e., the right to ask Us to delete any personal data We hold about you (We only hold your personal data for a limited time, as explained in section 8 but if you would like Us to delete it sooner, please contact Us using the details in section 11);

4.1.5 The right to restrict (i.e., prevent) the processing of your personal data;

4.1.6 The right to data portability (obtaining a copy of your personal data to re-use with another service or organisation);

4.1.7 The right to object to Us using your personal data for particular purposes; and

4.1.8 Rights with respect to automated decision making and profiling.

If We are unable to help, you also have the right to lodge a complaint with the UK’s supervisory authority, the Information Commissioner’s Office.

  1. What Data Do We Collect?

Personal data is any information about an individual from which that person can be identified.  It does not include data where the identity has been removed (anonymous data).

Depending upon your use of Our Site, we may collect some or all of the following personal data about you:

5.1 identity data such as name, title, date of birth;

5.2 contact information such as billing and delivery address, email addresses and telephone numbers;

5.3 financial and transaction data including bank/payment card details and details of payments you have made and the products you have bought via Our Site;

5.4 technical data such as login data, browser type, operating system;

5.5 profile data including username and password, your interests, preferences, feedback.

6.1.1 direct interactions – for example when you open an Account, purchase our products, subscribe to any of our publications, ask us to send you any marketing, enter any competitions, surveys or promotions, give us feedback or otherwise contact us;

6.1.2 automated technologies or interactions – we collect technical data about your equipment, browsing actions and patterns as you interact with Our Site, by using cookies and other similar technologies.  Please see our cookie policy in Section 10 for further details;

6.1.3 third parties – we will receive personal data about you from various third parties such as analytics providers and providers of technical, payment and delivery services.

7.1 Our use of your personal data will always have a lawful basis, either because it is necessary for Our performance of a contract with you, because you have consented to Our use of your personal data (e.g., by subscribing to emails), or because it is necessary for Our legitimate interests and your interests and fundamental rights do not override those interests, or where we need to comply with a legal obligation. Specifically, we may use your data for the following purposes:

  • registering you as a new customer;
  • opening an Account;
  • processing and delivering your order for our products;
  • managing our relationship with you;
  • enabling you to participate in a prize draw, competition or to complete a survey;
  • administering our business and our Site;

  • to deliver relevant Site content to you.

7.2 We may also use your data to send you marketing communications if you have requested information from us or purchased goods from us, and you have not opted out of receiving that marketing.

7.4 You can ask us to stop sending you marketing messages at any time by following the opt-out links on any marketing message sent to you or by contacting us at any time.  Where you opt out of receiving marketing messages, this will not apply to personal data provided to us as a result of a product purchase or other transaction.

  1. How and Where Do We Store Your Data?

8.1 We only keep your personal data for as long as reasonably necessary in order to use it as described above in section 7.  We may retain your personal data for a longer period in the event of a complaint or if we reasonably believe there is a prospect of litigation in respect to our relationship with you.

8.2 To determine the appropriate retention period for personal data, we consider the amount, nature and sensitivity of the personal data, the potential risk of harm from unauthorised use or disclosure, the purposes for which we process the data and whether we can achieve those purposes through other means, and the applicable legal, regulatory, tax, accounting or other requirements.  You can request from us details of retention periods for different aspects of your personal data.

8.3 Many of our external third parties (including those we refer to in paragraph [9.1]) are based outside the UK or have group companies which are based outside the UK, and their processing of your personal data will involve a transfer of data outside the UK.  Whenever we transfer your personal data out of the UK, we ensure a similar degree of protection is afforded to it by ensuring that at least one of the following safeguards is implemented:

8.3.1 we will only transfer your personal data to countries that have been deemed to provide an adequate level of protection for personal data; and/or

8.3.2 where we use certain service providers, we may use specific contracts approved for use in the UK which give personal data the same protection it has in the UK. Please contact us if you want further information on the specific mechanism used by us when transferring your personal data out of the UK.”

8.4 Data security is very important to Us, and to protect your data We have taken suitable measures to safeguard and secure data collected through Our Site.

9.1 Subject to section 9.2, we will only share your data with Mailchimp and Stripe for marketing and payment processing.

9.2 In certain circumstances, we may be legally required to share certain data held by Us, which may include your personal data, for example, sharing data with essential subcontractors such as payment processing services, IT support and delivery companies; where we are involved in legal proceedings, where we are complying with legal obligations, a court order, or a governmental authority.  

9.3 We may compile statistics about the use of Our Site including data on traffic, usage patterns, user numbers, sales, and other information. All such data will be anonymised and will not include any personally identifying data, or any anonymised data that can be combined with other data and used to identify you. Data will only be shared and used within the bounds of the law.

10.3 All Cookies used by and on Our Site are used in accordance with current Cookie Law.

Zeus Anti-Snore Logo

Sadly, we currently unable to sell Zeus into the USA due to FDA regulations. The FDA classify snoring a medical condition and there are concerns that consumers with undiagnosed OSA may use Zeus rather than visiting their doctor, which leads to issues with insurance. We are undertaking clinical trials for OSA however, which will hopefully show Zeus’s efficacy against this condition.
